- Option to create Reinforced masks (Max armor, allow runes and insignia).
- Title rework.
- Hairdresser.
- Full appearance and name change for PvP characters.
- Dye system or skin fix.

And things like those.
MithranArkanere already listed my christmas list. Santa Cla... I mean ANet, please get these. ^^

And another thread full of random unrelated 'ideas' we've already seen 40 times before, most of which are completely unneeded, or just plain terribaaad for the game. Truly a "Cream of the Crap" collection.

I won't comment on the old bad ones as I already did that many times before, but some are entirely new or at least haven't been posted in quite a long time, and I will only comment on those:

I would absolutely love some new PRE content but with making they would have to be *very* careful not to hurt/destroy the uniqueness of the place that is PreSearing. But a whole realm of a god? Sounds way too extreme.

You can't just move skills between professions, that would be beyond ridiculous.
Almost all skills fit the professions they were designed for and would feel totally out of place if moved. And think of the people who actually used those skills and got them suddenly taken away from them.
And 6 professions have more skills for a reason - they're designed to be Core, others aren't.

A few entirely new skills wouldn't hurt if well designed, and could actually be a great help, for underplayed professions, or team roles.
Paragons and Dervishes could use some new skills to have their number match the number of skills Assassins and Ritualists got (some people here like this kind of reasoning), but looking at how many bad and useless skills they already got I think it would be better to simply fix the existing ones.

- Simply had 7 heroes.

- Make something special drop on each week-end.

- PvE skillz title Account base. Grind FTL

- Plz give us a better way to acquire luxon/kurzick factions.

- Tome, mods, inscriptions, special items trader.

- If no 7 heroes, make Monk Hench heal after someone takes damage.

That update would be called Guild Wars 2 and come with a much better, broader and deeper character development; including a high or no level cap.

1: how would a PvE player enter a town then? If you mean: have more guildhalls that look like any town you choose, but you have to somehow acquire/capture it first, then good idea!

Some of my own:

- added Armor storage in the HoM
- added Minipet storage in the HoM
- added Book shelves (storage) in the HoM (MOX handbook, Zho's Journal, BMP books, Dungeon/Hero handbooks)
- added Xunlai Marketplace
- added a way to open all your character's inventories along with your Xunlai storage so you can quickly and easily manage your stuff / swap around.
- Improved Maptraveling: click on the boat: choose continent: a map of the chosen continent appears: zoom in to the spot you wish to go: CLICK and you're there! one loading screen!
- added hairdresser (10k cost, max. once a month)
- added quicktravel to HoM next to travel to guildhall button
- 7 hero slots available in PvE
- made inscriptions of the same stats stackable
- made insignia's stackable
- made charr battle plans stackable
- all weapons are now inscribable.
- spelling is autocorrected ingame: inscribable req # staves. not inscriptable Q# staffs. (I wish...)
- survivor starts over after death, so you can retry without deleting your character. only one a month though.
- made wisdom and treasure hunter title account-wide.

Yep, if new content is added, it should be with extreme carefulness, since pre-searing is the only place not ruined by the choices anet made the last couple of years.

Yep, i know my idea would be too much, and you are on to something good. We dont need more of the same, we want something that is worth getting. New weapons that customizes on pickup (yeah, like wow, i know) would be really cool. That way ppl would think it was worthwhile to get them.

Some good ideas here, but im shocked noone asked for a preview window yet

That would be one of my wishes along with storage to go with ea/ of the monuments in HoM (like armor storage in the armor bit ect...)

The bookcase idea is pretty neat, and so is the HoM travel.

Liking the single loading screen ideas or the 'world' world map for traveling.

Oh hairstylist would be brilliant, and so would the gender changer, but i would up the cost a bit along with the once a month ideas posted.

Errm thats about all i can think about right now...

Ill edit if i think of more stuff though

-Hairstylist Change hair/makeup/facial for 10k-15k, Once a month
-Armor storage, Maybe 100g per set?
-Xulani Marketplace
-7 heros - PvE only, Maybe only in HM perhaps?
-Most titles to be account based, the obvious ones for sure
-Better rewards for dungeons/elite areas
-More elite areas for proph/factions
-More decorations in the HoM, just looks so empty D:
- /storage command...
-Derv & Para armors in Factions..1.5k/15k Kurz/Lux
-Fix the ai to move out of aoe >>
-Fix how h/h use skills, so they wont spam away and lose all their mana (Carnage said it perfectly)

New NPCS:
-stylist
-tome trader

Skill update:
-buff useless skills normal and elite
-nerf ridiculously over buffed skills. (WoH!!!!!!!!)

Heroes:
-Add new heroes for Ritualist, Paragon, and Assassin classes.
-New Hero AI, less stupid actions, act independantly, learn how to kite and cast without wasting energy, learn how to spread in formation
-Formation directions (think Age of Empires)

Loot:
-Remove loot scaling, it's purpose is useless.
-Increase gold drop
-The removal of r8 and r7 max items (their time has come and gone)

Enemies:
-Attack in formation and with coordinated efforts.(spike, pressure)


Personal Attributes:
-Update to 2 beneficial attributes per class neither of which being weapon related.
-Increase value of previous beneficial attributes by 25-50%, making them more useful.

Overall:
-Increase the friends list capacity
-Add a folder operated sorting system to friends list
-Add a language filter to global chat, trade chat, and to a guild leaders options, and alliance leaders option.
-Language filter is automatically set to on for all accounts with option to remove (this is very very reasonable)
-Scale faction

Titles:
-Account Wide
-Survivor
-Defender of Ascalon
-All faction based titles including reputation. (excesive grinding ruins the game)
-Wisdom and Treasure Hunter (they don't affect the gameplay they are just titles)

My stupid idea:
-New mini-missions that are similar to AB
-Join a mission outpost, and enter the mission, it then sends you to a holding barracks where you are released into a large battlefield (64+ people) to fight. Strengths always kept even. No flag capturing, just warfare. I wanna kill stuff and get rewards, so be creative with reward ideas

Update: the insane grind was curbed. Finally, players can enjoy the PvE game content and features at their fullest without the need to waste so many hours per character in the shameful "reputation farming" race.
  • the PvE reputation ranks are now account based (shared across all characters on a player's account, just like Luxon/Kurzick faction ranks are now)
  • all PvE reputation ranks linked to PvE skills are automatically maxed whenever any character on the account finishes the campaign/expansion they belong to; the related PvE skills still have to be aquired on each character by the usual means (their respective quests or NPC skill provider).
( Alternative to the last point above: )
  • the same rewards (i.e. reputation points) are granted each time the same repeatable mission/dungeon/quest is completed (e.g. completing "The Elusive Golemancer" in Hard Mode awards 4500 Asura reputation points every time it is completed, because it's the same mission and the same time is spent; it's not like it's 10 times faster the 2nd time around, so there is no reason to give only 450 reputation points after the 1st time, right ? ).

/wish-mode off

Now really, if neither of the above are considered, because this grind game is somehow wanted by Anet , at least have the common sense to remove this blatantly hypocrytical message from the game:

You have been playing for N hours, please take a break..

Because really, as it is right now.. just think how many hours a player with 10 characters (one for each profession) should spend in order to maximize the efficiency of the PvE skills? Yes I want to try how these PvE skills work with various (primary) professions, but i hate the grind-fest which really ruins an otherwise great game..

let me explain at first i didnt realize that the ab towns (ie Cavalon) where not the guild halls of the guilds owned them. that is my bad. so let me rephrase that statement to say;
-Make it so all towns can be Bought.
now i dont know exactly how that would work but it would be close to how the ab towns work. or some other idea....

a lot of the new professions are like hybreds of the old 6. ie pargon is like a ranger+war. a rit is like a monk+Necro.

now i think there are tooo many skills. and thats why we see so much unbalance. there are 1235 pvp skills in the game right now i think the game could be improved a lot if some of the skills were flat out removed. and some of them were given to the other professions that don't have quite as many, skills so they would at least have the same amount all the way around.

i think it was a big mistake for anet when they released these campaigns to add just as many skills for the core 6 professions. yes they should have gotten some skills but the large number of skills should have gone to the new professions.

also @ Yawgmoth i am glad you picked so many things you disagree with but you made no comment on the "remove pvp from the game" also try and make good suggestions for once instead of being so negative. its not an easy task to come up with good suggestions.

1. Give every pet their own statue, instead of that stupid "animal companion" statue
2. Allow any weapons into Valor, and have different tiers of rewards in GW2 depending on the weapons used to fill it.
3. Prophecies and Factions weapons finally get with the times (ie drop inscribable now). Well, really, only Factions needs to, most Prophecies weapons are in Nightfall anyway...
4. non-inscribable wands/shields/focii can use the new mods from Nightfall (still confused why they can't do that anyway )
5. Inscription and weapon mod traders added. Seriously, these are way overdue.
5. 7 heroes.
6. All non-green weapons can be truly dyed (by which I mean the dye affects large parts of the weapons, not just the handle or something)
7. Guild leaders can customize Guild Halls, add accessories to them and so on. The damn things are so big and empty as is...
8. Wisdom and Treasure Hunter, at the very least, made account-wide.
9. Hair Stylist which lets you choose hairstyles from all the campaigns, not just the character's native one. Maybe make the stylist the reward for a campaign-spanning quest ala the Black Moa Chick...

better sorting of WTB from WTS in the trade windows

Guild Hall and Hall of Monuments linked by gate

Central transfer chamber having portals to all major cities

Eye of The North as a map eye catching major city icon -Doomlore and Gunnars Hold as outposts

Depths under Cantha and Elona dungeons

post searing Catacombs & Wizards Folly

Lvl 15 bosses in Northlands or new area past Northlands in pre searing

Rurik, Vizir, Justicar and Markis as changning hero henchies (they get replaced by others)
Mhenlo, Cynn, Eve, Devona as hero henchies

rescale of kurz/lux, lucky/unlucky

account wide wisdom/treasure hunter, maybe deldrimor/norn/asura/ebon vanguard

storage auto open when you enter a town, and spread out like inventory with (f9)

for the love of god, if they update more damage skills monks better get more viable options too...

name changer/hair changer/sex changer(?) maybe cost skill points?

stacking of mods/runes/inscriptions in storage

oh, and DO NOT allow 7 heroes

I would want a new chapter to the story and missions/quests that require travel to all others chapter maps.

It's hard to stay focused on a game that has had no new content.

I'd also like to see skills that have the same function combined/eliminated.
